Affiliate disclosure
This site is intended to earn a commission when a reader buys through some of its outbound product links. As of 30 August 2026 it earns nothing, because no such link exists yet.
What is true today
We hold no affiliate relationship with any water treatment brand. No page on this site carries a tagged, commissionable or otherwise compensated link. Nothing published here has been paid for, reviewed by a manufacturer before publication, or written in exchange for a product.
What will be true, and how you will know
The plan is ordinary affiliate commission: a reader follows a link to a manufacturer, buys something, and this site is paid a percentage by that manufacturer. When that begins, three things happen at once.
- This page lists every brand we are paid by, by name, with the date the relationship began.
- Every page carrying a paid link says so on that page, above the link rather than in a footer.
- Brands we are not paid by stay in the comparisons anyway. Several brands appear here with plain, untagged links and no page of their own. They are present to make the comparison honest, not to convert, and they will never be presented as if they were paying placements.
What a commission does not buy
A paying relationship does not affect whether a product appears, where it ranks in a comparison, or what we say about its certification. The tool at /my-water is built to return “you do not need this” when that is the honest answer, and that behaviour is worth more to this site than the commission on any single sale.
We earn nothing from installer quotes, permit figures, or any recommendation to refuse a purchase.
Questions
How figures get onto these pages is described in full at /method. Anything we have got wrong and corrected is at /corrections.
